We strongly recommend that you get a cover letter. Career studies have shown that 80% of companies prefer resumes with cover letters. About 30% of companies will discard resumes that do not have a cover letter. Your cover letter is a marketing document almost as important as your resume in selling your skills to your future employer and showing your specific interest in the employer..

We will give you a Word document that you can edit if you want to update your resume in the future.

In general, you should not include a list of references with your resume. You can simply state “References available on request” or wait for the employer to request them as part of the interview process. It is best to spend the limited space on your resume selling your skills and background most effectively, especially as one-page resumes are the norm these days.
